    About Coserv Charitable Foundation

Coserv Charitable Foundation’s largest recent grants center on direct customer relief, especially utility support for CoServ members and customers. In 2023, All Community Outreach in Allen received $282,919 for utility support, and Christian Community Action in Lewisville received $220,668 for financial assistance for customers and food pantry work. That pattern continues in later years, with another seven-figure-style cluster of awards going to community organizations that help households cover essential bills, food, and other crisis needs. The foundation’s recent giving also reaches health and education supports. Pediplace in Lewisville received $85,000 for medical and lab supplies, while Frisco Education Foundation received $35,000 for scholarships. Other notable grantees include Community Lifeline Center Inc in McKinney, Frisco Family Services in Frisco, and Hearts for Homes in Denton. The grant descriptions show a funder that uses nonprofit partners to move aid quickly to households, students, seniors, and people facing housing instability across its service territory. Its stated priorities are meeting basic human needs, community vitality, and supporting education.

    What Coserv Charitable Foundation Funds

Basic needs are the clearest throughline in the foundation’s grant decisions. Christian Community Action in Lewisville received $44,590 in 2024 for food pantry items and $43,718 in 2025 for food, hygiene, and household items. Metrocrest Services Inc in Farmers Branch received $35,000 for food for applicants in the pantry. The foundation also backs shelter and housing stability: Grace Like Rain Inc in Denton received $33,000 for emergency shelter for families, and Our Daily Bread Inc in Denton received $31,170 for cots, mattresses, and pillows. Education is another steady area. Frisco Education Foundation received $35,000 for scholarships in 2024 and again in 2023, while Lewisville Education Foundation received $35,000 in 2025 for scholarships. The portfolio also includes direct support for medical access, such as Pediplace’s purchase of medical and laboratory supplies.

    How Coserv Charitable Foundation Gives

Typical awards cluster in the five-figure range, with a p25 of $10,000, a median of $15,000, and a p75 of $25,000. The recent grants table also shows repeated support to the same organizations across multiple years, including All Community Outreach, Christian Community Action, Community Lifeline Center Inc, Frisco Family Services, Hearts for Homes, and Frisco Education Foundation. That suggests ongoing relationships rather than isolated awards. The foundation is classified as a regular funder, and its active programs indicate both competitive grant cycles and program-specific funding pools. Several programs accept unsolicited applications, and first-time applicants for the CCF grant cycles must attend a grant application training session.
