Community Grants

¿Quién puede postularse? Applicants must be charitable organizations able to provide an IRS tax determination letter showing the organization's name, tax identification number, and tax-exempt status. Grants are not made to individuals, religious organizations for religious purposes, ticketed events, political or lobbying activities, replacement of government funding, endowments, or discretionary pools. Operating expenses are ordinarily ineligible unless they are for the initial stages of a pilot project. Applicants should demonstrate project expertise, sound financial practices, future funding plans, and community and financial support. Organizations that received a grant are advised to wait a year before reapplying; unsuccessful applicants should wait at least one year and reapply only if the request has materially changed.

Fecha límite: Applications are due April 1 and November 1 each year. The Distribution Committee reviews applications semiannually in May and November; late applications may be held until the next meeting.
