What we know: The application process starts with a Letter of Intent submitted by email; if the foundation requests a full proposal, applicants have five weeks to complete it, with a decision within two to five weeks after that. The foundation also runs scholarship and emergency assistance programs for first responder families, so its youth engagement grants are one piece of a broader mission.
Realistic fit: Nonprofits or first responder agencies already running youth programming that connects kids with local fire, EMS, or law enforcement teams.
