Global health nonprofits have two major pharma corporate giving programs accepting applications year-round. Both fund health-focused organizations, but they operate through different lenses: one centers therapeutic-area alignment, the other names specific disease areas upfront.
1. Bristol Myers Squibb, Corporate Giving Program
Amount not published. US and international (varies). Rolling.
What we know: BMS accepts online Letters of Request for initiatives aligned with its therapeutic areas, including disease awareness, access to quality care, patient support, and health equity. Requests must be submitted at least six to eight weeks before any planned activity. The program funds nonprofits only, not individuals or physician groups.
Realistic fit: established health nonprofits or patient advocacy organizations whose work maps directly to a BMS therapeutic area.
2. Gilead Sciences, Corporate Grant Funding
Amount not published. Global (Africa, Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia). Rolling.

What we know: Gilead funds community-informed, data-driven programs in HIV, liver disease, oncology, chronic inflammatory diseases, and health equity. Only tax-exempt nonprofits are eligible, and grants cover direct programmatic support rather than general operating expenses or clinical studies. Applications require a detailed project budget and should be submitted at least six weeks before the activity start date.
Realistic fit: mid-size to large health nonprofits, hospitals, or academic medical centers running programs in one of Gilead's named disease areas.
Neither program publishes a grant range, so the first conversation with each funder's giving team is worth having before you invest significant time in the application. Both require aligning your project language to the funder's therapeutic priorities, not just general health impact.
