Its Health Innovation work focuses on using data and technology to improve health outcomes for children and families living in poverty, often connecting health, education, and economic mobility. It funds organizations with a working model and a path to measurable outcomes.

Realistic fit: nonprofits and social enterprises with a tech- or data-enabled health intervention serving low-income children and families, and evidence it moves outcomes.

What we know: Mother Cabrini is one of New York's largest health funders: 601 grants totaling $172.6 million at a $200,000 median, with top recipients including Catholic Charities and the Home Care Association of New York State. The Older Adults program funds work that improves the health, independence, and quality of life of aging New Yorkers, especially in underserved communities. Grant sizes are substantial, and the funder favors organizations embedded in the communities they serve.

Realistic fit: New York nonprofits serving older adults — health access, aging-in-place, caregiver support, social isolation — with a track record in their community.

If you're not working in New York, Mother Cabrini isn't your funder; if your health model isn't tech- or data-driven, Dell's Health Innovation line probably isn't either. Match the funder to your actual model and geography.
