Community Investment Process — Basic Needs Grants
Who can apply: Applicants must be eligible nonprofit, public school district, municipal, Indian Tribal, or fiscally sponsored organizations that endorse Impact2032. The program must serve Kennebec County residents or people experiencing homelessness, be open to diverse community members, provide health or human services aligned with an Impact2032 vision statement, request $2,500-$10,000, use funding for a specific program or project rather than general operations, request no more than 35% of the program budget, and meet UWKV financial, legal, DEI, reporting, campaign, and partner-agreement requirements.
Deadline: The next full funding cycle is expected to open in summer 2027; specific deadlines have not been announced. Prior-cycle deadlines were November 8, 2024 for the LOI and January 31, 2025 for the full application.
