FSI Grants (Foundation for Sustainability and Innovation)
Who can apply: Applicants should be nonprofit charitable organizations and must provide an IRS letter designating nonprofit charitable status, a current budget, and a recent annual report. Organizations based nationwide or internationally may apply, although the foundation has a particular interest in projects in Laguna Beach and Southern California. Proposals must address specific objectives, include a timeline, describe anticipated impact, and suggest how results could be replicated or have broader impact. Administrative costs, salaries, endowment requests, and general operating support are not eligible.
Deadline: Two annual grant cycles: submissions due April 15 for the May grant cycle and October 15 for the November grant cycle. Proposals must be postmarked by the applicable deadline. Decisions are expected by mid-May and mid-November, respectively.
