About Steer
Steer Inc’s giving is organized around missionary support that is funded through agriculture and livestock projects, not conventional program grants. The foundation describes itself as a non-denominational Christian global missionary support organization that partners farmers and ranchers with mission organizations to generate ongoing support. That structure shapes its philanthropy: U.S.-based evangelical mission organizations become member mission organizations, then receive proceeds from projects such as cow/calf, hog, sheep, goat, dairy, cotton, almonds, and crop arrangements.
The largest recent grant in the data went to Cru in Orlando, Florida, at $121,696, followed by $93,977 to North American Baptist Worldwide Outreach in Roseville, California. Other sizable awards reached Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Kansas City, Missouri; Student Impact Internationalcampus Alliance in Escondido, California; and Child Evangelism Fellowship in Warrenton, Missouri. The recent list shows a consistent emphasis on missionary services, with recipients that include Bible translation, campus ministry, youth outreach, radio ministry, and church-planting organizations.
Steer Inc also uses its own internal programs to support mission work and organizational operations, including a Dedicated Operations Fund, Legacy Fund, planned giving, and membership-based project participation.
