General Grants Program

Who can apply: Organizations must be charitable, not-for-profit organizations exempt under IRS section 501(c)(3). The RFF primarily funds organizations serving North and South Lawndale; proposals from outside Chicago considered by invitation only. RFF does not fund individuals or religious or political causes.

Deadline: Annual application deadline (example: October 31). Specific yearly deadlines posted on the Grants page.

Arts & Culture Grants

Who can apply: 501(c)(3) nonprofit status required. Projects should relate to arts, music, and cultural programming in underserved communities. No funding to individuals or to religious/political causes.

Youth & Education (Scholarships)

Who can apply: Scholarship funding is provided through nonprofit partners and programs targeted to under-served, low-income youth. Foundation funds only 501(c)(3) organizations.

Deadline: October 31 (annual application deadline; historically listed as 2023 deadline)
