DMACF General Grant Program
Who can apply: Applicants must generally be tax-exempt organizations serving Durham County, North Carolina. Government agencies and religious organizations are exempt from the requirement to submit a 501(c)(3) certification letter. The Foundation does not fund individuals or political or partisan purposes. Churches, religious organizations, and school organizations such as PTAs are very rarely funded. Ongoing operating expenses will not usually be considered. Applicants must submit the required application, financial statements or applicable tax filings, recent in-house profit and loss statement and balance sheet, and charitable-status documentation where applicable. The Foundation does not fund organizations that discriminate on the basis of age, national origin, race, religion, or sex.
Deadline: April 1 and October 1 annually; notifications are made around the middle of May and November.
