Who can apply: Native people must hold a 51% majority of governance and staffing roles. Must be a nonprofit 501(c)(3), Tribal government with IRC 7871 designation, or have a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Supports Native-led work serving tribal communities within the Colorado Plateau region or Native-led organizations serving tribal communities with demonstrated cultural, historical, or ancestral ties to the Colorado Plateau. Does not fund hosted fundraising events, individuals, non-Native majority-led organizations, or for-profit businesses.
Deadline: Grant cycle opens in August; application due in mid-August; review in early September; board approval in October; award announcement in early November; awards disbursed in late November.
