About this program
CMTA awards Center of Excellence designation to neuromuscular neurologists and clinics specializing in CMT care. The designation recognizes clinics that meet CMTA’s criteria for multidisciplinary, patient-centered CMT care and participation in CMTA community activities.
Who can apply
Clinic director must be a neurologist with a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine; see 15 or more CMT patients annually; provide multidisciplinary CMT services and therapies; be accepting new patients with a six-month or less wait time; distribute CMTA patient education materials; participate annually in a local CMTA patient education meeting and walk event; attend the annual CMTA Centers of Excellence Clinic Directors meeting; complete an annual patient statistics form; and have the clinic director or another COE provider be a member of the Peripheral Nerve Society and attend its annual meetings.
