About this program
Second Helpings provides free meals to qualified Central Indiana nonprofit partner agencies. This is an in-kind support program rather than a cash grant, intended to help nonprofits serve people experiencing hunger.
Who can apply
Organization must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status; be incorporated to serve the ill, needy, seniors, low-income families, or minor children; have a kitchen inspected and licensed by the county health department or Family and Social Services Administration; have at least one staff member or volunteer trained in food safety when meals are served; and serve multiple free meals per month to a minimum number of people at each meal.
