Research Project Grants in Clinical and Experimental Cancer Research

Who can apply: Applicants must usually have completed a doctorate/PhD and be employed at a university or publicly funded research institution in Germany or Switzerland for the entire project duration. Self-funding of one's own position is not permitted. Projects outside cancer research are only funded in justified exceptional cases.

Deadline: No fixed deadlines; applications and preliminary enquiries are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Cancer Research Project Grants

Who can apply: Applicants must have completed a doctorate (or equivalent scientific higher education qualification, typically a PhD) and be employed for the full project duration at a university or publicly funded research institution in Germany or Switzerland. The applicant's own salary cannot be funded. Projects must primarily be in cancer research; non-cancer projects are only possible in exceptional justified cases. Mixed funding with other third-party funders for the same project is excluded.

Deadline: No fixed deadlines; applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Project Grants (Einzelförderungen) – klinische und experimentelle Krebsforschung

Who can apply: Abgeschlossene wissenschaftliche Hochschulausbildung (in der Regel Promotion); Tätigkeit an einer Universität oder öffentlich geförderten Forschungseinrichtung in Deutschland oder der Schweiz. Projekte außerhalb der Krebsforschung nur in Ausnahmefällen.
