Who can apply: Applicants must be owners or authorized users of a formally listed cultural monument in Germany. Eligible monument owners include private persons, private nonprofit organizations, religious communities, municipalities, and counties. Required conditions include monument status, need, solid project preparation, heritage-compatible measures, realistic financing, and necessary permits. Preference is given to projects where owners need support for their own share.
Deadline: Annual application deadline: 31 August for funding in the following year. Decisions are made in the first quarter of the year. Disaster-damaged monuments can apply year-round.
