Who can apply: Open to charities registered in the UK (Charity Commission, OSCR, or Charity Commission for Northern Ireland) for at least 12 months. The Trust supports registered charities whose purposes include benefiting or protecting animals, relieving animals from suffering, conserving wildlife, or encouraging understanding of animals. Additional criteria apply to charities importing animals from overseas or based overseas but UK-registered.
Deadline: 1st December, 1st April, and 1st August each year; awards are usually made within 4 months of the application deadline.
