About Stiftung West-Östliche Begegnungen

Stiftung West-Östliche Begegnungen supports civil-society exchange and dialogue between Germany and countries in Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Baltic states. Its funding is especially geared toward international youth encounters, short working meetings, partnership-building, and small public-facing formats that deepen understanding of culture, history, democracy, climate, media, sport, and regional cooperation. The foundation is distinctive for its strong geographic focus and for favoring structured exchange projects and thematic special calls over open-ended general grants.
