Who can apply: Applicant must be the owner or authorized user of a formally protected cultural monument in Germany, or in some cases a nonprofit managing entity or specialist for individual services with owner consent. The monument must be endangered without special assistance, and the applicant must have exhausted other financing sources. The project must be a conservation-appropriate, professionally prepared measure with required heritage and building permits in place.
Deadline: Regular application deadline: 31 August for the following year; decisions in the first quarter of the year. Catastrophe-damaged monuments may apply year-round.
