Who can apply: Projects must fit the foundation's purpose of promoting environmental, nature, and climate protection and the energy transition. Applicants are expected to be gemeinnützig/nonprofit; for foreign organizations, charitable status equivalent to German law must be demonstrated. The foundation particularly supports regional projects, cross-border exchanges, and international projects with a focus on renewable-energy-based local solutions.
Deadline: No fixed deadline; applications accepted anytime. For grants over EUR 20,000, decisions are made once per year by the board and advisory council.
