Who can apply: Eligible objects are formally protected cultural monuments in Germany, especially those owned by private individuals, private nonprofit organizations, religious communities, municipalities, or counties. Applicants may be owners or authorized holders; in some cases non-owners may apply with written owner consent. Projects must be endangered and require support for the owner's share; applicants must exhaust other funding sources and have required monument and building approvals in place.
Deadline: Annual application deadline: 31 August for the following year; decisions in the first quarter of the year.
