Who can apply: Projects must align with the Foundation's statutes (promotion of exploration and sustainable use of ores, mineral resources, rock and earth materials and groundwater in Finland). Applications may be for personal grants (stipends) or project-targeted funding; multi-year funding may be considered for testing new ideas. PhD projects normally funded for up to four years (application required each year).
Deadline: Applications open annually from 15 September to 30 November for funding for the following year. Decisions made between February and March.
