General Grants for Core and Project Costs

Who can apply: Direct benefit to Bristol residents; organisations must generally be in existence for more than one year; charities/CICs must have filed accounts; CICs need at least two unrelated directors and 25% income from trading; organisations need a bank account with two unrelated signatories and a two-stage authorisation process; applications must align with the Foundation's priority areas and be able to demonstrate need and impact.

Deadline: Eligible applications received by the 21st of the month are normally considered at the next Trustee meeting; trustees meet every month apart from January and August.

Older People Events and Community Schemes

Who can apply: Applications may be made by clubs or organisations where the majority of members are over 65, particularly in the most disadvantaged areas of Bristol. The Foundation also contributes towards costs of Christmas parties and summer events and distributes free theatre tickets to local groups.

Social Welfare Grants

Who can apply: Organisations must benefit people in Bristol and align with the foundation's welfare priorities.

Health Grants

Who can apply: Projects and organisations must improve health experiences or outcomes for the stated beneficiary groups in Bristol.

Children and Young People Grants

Who can apply: Projects and organisations must benefit disadvantaged children and young people in Bristol.

Community Grants

Who can apply: Organisations must be working for the benefit of people in Bristol.

Theatre tickets

Who can apply: Intended for groups and clubs serving Bristol older people; majority of members should be aged 65 and over and live in Bristol.
