Who can apply: Eligible objects are formally listed cultural monuments in Germany. Applicants may be owners or authorized holders such as lessees or hereditary building right holders, nonprofit managing associations, or foundations; in some cases specialists for individual services. The applicant must have the owner's written consent if not the owner. Funding is based on monument value, urgency, public interest, and the degree of substance preservation. Commercial advertising at the monument excludes funding.
Deadline: Annual application deadline: 31 August for funding in the following year; decision in the first quarter of the following year.
