Especially supports excellent dissertations and habilitations; also some monographs, conference and collected volumes, editions, and legal works belonging to the humanities. Does not fund master's theses, translations, handbooks/reference works/catalogues, periodicals, collections of already printed essays, works already in print or previously published in excerpts, revised reissues, social/behavioral science topics, open access costs, or image rights costs.
