Large Grants Program

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include state and Federal governmental agencies; non-governmental organizations such as sportsman’s groups, community associations, watershed user groups, cooperatives, civic groups; municipalities; universities; schools; state and tribal governments. Projects must be on public reservoirs with public access. Applicants must be able to use SAM, ASAP, and GrantSolutions. Federal funding requires at least 1:1 non-Federal match; some Bass Pro Shops funding has a 25% match structure for requests up to $75,000.

Deadline: FY2027 large grant applications due October 1, 2026; FY2024 large grant applications due February 15, 2023; FY2019 proposal deadline was August 15, 2018.

Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Grant Program (promoted on site)

Who can apply: Projects must directly involve youth, have endorsement of local fisheries management agency, include evaluation, and demonstrate feasibility and leverage; contact BFHOF Conservation Committee for questions.

Mossback Product Grants (Mossback Fish Habitat Sponsor Grants)

Who can apply: Applicant must be a current Friends of Reservoirs member; $25 application fee; recipients responsible for shipping arrangements.
