FSJ Trust General Grants for Essex Charities and Not-for-Profit Groups
Who can apply: Applicants should be mainly UK-based charities or not-for-profit groups whose objectives comply with the Trust’s criteria. The great majority of funding is for projects and groups within Essex, either directly or through national charities for specific Essex-based projects. The Trust does not fund individuals, political activities, festivals, animal charities, commercial ventures, or parish councils. Direct replacement of statutory funding or activities primarily the responsibility of local or central government are not considered qualifying areas. At least 12 months must elapse before reapplying; after three consecutive grants, organisations should wait two years before applying again.
Deadline: Trustees meet three times a year in February, May, and September. The page states the next Trustees meeting was scheduled for May 2026 and the deadline for applications was Friday 17th April.
