Annual scientific research grants

Who can apply: Primarily for postdoctoral researchers and doctoral candidates in the final phase of their dissertation. Research must be affiliated with Finnish universities or be by Finnish researchers abroad. Applicants must not receive a researcher salary during the grant period and may not hold another grant for the same work. Grants are not awarded for equipment, materials, printing costs, or congress travel. Applications from larger research projects are not prioritized through the open call.

Deadline: Application period runs annually from 1 January to 28/29 February. Decisions are communicated in May or early June; grants can be paid from June.
