Who can apply: Funding is available for formally listed cultural monuments in Germany, especially those owned by private individuals, private nonprofit organizations, religious communities, municipalities or counties. Applicants may be owners, authorized holders, nonprofit managing associations or foundations; non-owners may apply with written consent of the owner. Projects must have a demonstrated need, viable financing, professional planning, and the required monument and building permits. The foundation prioritizes measures that preserve original substance and does not fund new buildings or reconstructions of destroyed monuments.
Deadline: Annual deadline: 31 August for the following year; catastrophe-damaged monuments may apply year-round.
