Denkmalförderung (Förderung für Kulturdenkmale)

Who can apply: Applicants must be owners or authorized holders (e.g., leaseholders, hereditary building right holders), nonprofit sponsoring associations, or foundations; in special cases experts for individual services. Eligible objects are formally protected cultural monuments in Germany, especially those owned by private persons, nonprofit entities, religious communities, municipalities, or counties. The project must be endangered without special support, and applicants must exhaust other available financing sources. Required permits and a municipal/state heritage authority statement must be in place.

Deadline: Annual deadline: 31 August for funding in the following year; decisions in the first calendar quarter of the following year.
