Main Grants Programme
Who can apply: Applications must be for people residing in the pre-1974 boundary of the City of Leeds (roughly LS1 to LS17, excluding areas such as Thorner). Projects must fulfil one of Wade’s two charitable objectives: providing recreational opportunities or being related to public open space. The organisation must be evidently charitable; Wade’s generally supports registered charities, exempt or excepted charities or industrial & provident societies, and the Main Grants Programme also accepts constituted voluntary/community groups.
Deadline: Trustees’ Grants’ Meetings are usually held in February, June and October. The page states deadlines are usually towards the end of January, end of May and mid September 2026, and applicants should apply as early as possible.
