C. V. Åkerlund Media Foundation Grants and Project Funding
Who can apply: The project must have a connection to Finland and benefit the Finnish media sector. The applicant must be a working group of at least two people or a registered legal entity with a Business ID. Projects should be broad, extensive or multi-phased, generally lasting longer than one year. Project overhead costs may not exceed 15% of total costs excluding statutory personnel costs. Grants are not awarded for equipment or software purchases.
Deadline: The foundation has March and August application rounds. The August 2026 call is open from 1–31 August 2026. Concept papers and full project funding applications are submitted through the relevant two-stage process; an approved concept paper is required before applying for project funding.
