Matching Fund

Who can apply: Applicants must be a registered nonprofit association in Munich. The project must take place in the city of Munich, be assignable to one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and must not receive additional funding for the same project from departments of the City of Munich. The project must not have started before applying; project commencement is permitted from January 2027. Applicants must raise 50% of the project funds themselves or obtain them from other funders.

Deadline: 31 October 2026 for the 2027 funding round.

Fonds „Auf Augenhöhe"

Who can apply: Only citizen foundations with a quality seal, such as BürgerStiftung München, may apply. The foundation may submit applications for its own projects or on behalf of local initiatives.

Treuhandstiftung „Musik zum Leben"

Who can apply: Supports projects and initiatives for children and young people in Munich, especially those who are socially or otherwise disadvantaged.

Projekte & Förderung

Who can apply: Projects should be socially, ecologically, and culturally sustainable. Applicants should use the provided funding application form and follow the funding criteria. The foundation also notes collaboration with partner institutions, but the funding page indicates project applicants may apply.
