Who can apply: Projects must match the foundation's statutory purpose, have model and exemplary character, be sustainable and future-oriented, provide impulses for active civic society, be locally implemented and managed, work largely with volunteers or actively involve those affected, promote help for self-help, and strengthen self-responsibility. The foundation does not fund commercial or political projects, individuals, already completed projects, projects within the responsibility of state-funded institutions, projects outside the Hellweg region, or ongoing costs except as start-up financing.
