Who can apply: Applicants must be one of the eligible organisation types and the project must be in England or Wales. The Foundation does not fund individuals, organisations with annual income over £10 million, projects below £10,000, or organisations without at least one set of annual accounts. For projects costing between £10,000 and £100,000, charities with income of £1 million or more are generally not eligible (except SEN schools). Planning permission is required before applying if needed, and leased-property projects need more than 10 years left on the lease (or a signed 10-year minimum lease in progress). Churches/places of worship must have high levels of regular secular activity benefiting the wider community; museums/galleries/heritage centres need a strong learning/outreach programme. Church tower, bell, and organ repairs are not funded.

Who can apply: Applicant must generally be a charity or other eligible nonprofit type listed on the eligibility page; project must be in England or Wales; annual income must be below £10 million; project costs should be between £10,000 and £100,000 (projects up to £5 million may be considered, but the foundation prefers smaller projects); applicants must have at least one set of annual accounts, any required planning permission before applying, and at least 10 years remaining on a lease for leased-property works. Churches/place of worship, museums, galleries, and heritage centres have additional activity/outreach requirements; church tower, bell, and organ repairs are not funded.
