Who can apply: PI and Co-PI(s) should be Indian citizens; foreign nationals including OCI and NRI may apply if eligible. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Sciences, Mathematics or Engineering, with specified exceptions for medicine/surgery/dental degrees in quantitative social sciences. PI/Co-PI(s) must hold a regular position in a recognized academic institution, national research laboratory, or recognized research organisation in India. PI should generally have at least the project duration plus one year of official service remaining. Maximum two ANRF/SERB projects at a time. For projects costing Rs. 1 Cr and above, a Co-PI from the PI institution is mandatory.
