Who can apply: Applicants must be registered Canadian charities or non-profit organizations. Projects must align with AWFC’s strategic direction. AWFC does not fund for-profit organizations, fundraising events, bursaries or scholarships, completed projects, financing costs, or capital/building expenses, except where otherwise permitted as part of a research, education, or public outreach project. Veterinary or direct animal-care expenses are generally excluded unless part of a research, education, or public outreach project.
Deadline: Project Eligibility Proposal due September 30 annually; shortlisted applicants submit a Full Project Proposal by November 15.
