Preserving America Grant
Who can apply: Applicant must be an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Primary mission must center on preservation, education, or public interpretation of pre-1876 American history, with priority for organizations exclusively dedicated to this period. Organization must be non-partisan and non-political. Sites, buildings, and houses receiving funding must be open to the public without appointment for a minimum of two days per week from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Deadline: Applications accepted November 15 through December 15; recipients announced February 22; interim report due August 15; final report due December 15.
