About this program

The Lisa Libraries provides new children's books and small libraries to nonprofit organizations serving children in low-income or underserved areas in the United States. Supported organizations may receive books to rebuild or add to a library, create a small library, or give books directly to children to take home and keep.

Organizations must be in the United States and serve children in low-income or underserved areas. The organization may need a small library, need to rebuild or add to a library, or serve children who would benefit from new books. The Lisa Libraries has a strong interest in supporting small, grass-roots organizations. Organizations must not discriminate against people seeking services or employment based on race, sex, religion, age, sexual preference, or physical ability.
