Equipment Support Grants for Children with Disabilities and Special Needs
A resource program from Handicapped Children's Aid Committee
This is not a grant
Handicapped Children's Aid Committee provides donated goods or services here, not funding. Nonprofits receive items or support directly rather than money, so there is no award to spend. If you're looking for cash funding, this program won't provide it.
About this program
Provides essential equipment to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and special needs, including items for individual children and for schools, hospices, respite care homes, and support centres. Support is provided in kind or by reimbursement for approved equipment purchases; no cash grants are awarded.
Who can apply
Children supported from birth to 18 years old. Applications must be for equipment only. Requests should include the specific requirement, cost, and supporting information; medical evidence and financial information are required for approved applications. Schools and organisations may apply for specialist items benefiting special needs children. The charity does not fund therapy, treatment, assessment, building works, garden works, furniture (unless specialised), laptops, cookers, vehicles, transport, tuition, clothing, bedding, shoes (unless specialist), holidays, or other excluded items.
