Energy for All Program (includes Community, Multifamily, and nonprofit solar assistance)
This is not a grant
Grid Alternatives provides donated goods or services here, not funding. Nonprofits receive items or support directly rather than money, so there is no award to spend. If you're looking for cash funding, this program won't provide it.
About this program
GRID's Energy for All program develops and implements renewable energy projects that serve low-income and environmental justice communities. Services include no-cost or low-cost solar installations, community/shared solar development, technical assistance and low-cost design/installation for multifamily affordable housing providers, and bundling state incentives (e.g., DAC-SASH) with local incentives and philanthropy to deliver low-to-no-cost solar.
Who can apply
Varies by sub-program: single-family services target low-income, owner-occupied households; multifamily and community solar offerings target affordable housing providers, community groups, and energy-burdened customers. Some offerings bundle California state incentives and require residence in specified utility territories when applicable.
