About this program
Program, run in partnership with Keep America Beautiful, to reduce cigarette litter by providing free cigarette butt receptacles and hardware to businesses, parks, and community sites. Participants are asked to maintain bins and perform periodic cigarette waste audits and submit results to PalmettoPride.
Who can apply
Entities or community members willing to install and maintain litter stands in accessible places (e.g., outside retail entrances or transition points where adult smokers commonly dispose of butts). Participants must conduct cigarette waste audits every three months for one year and submit counts to PalmettoPride.
