About this program

Professionally facilitated book discussion groups awarded to organizations, communities, and individuals across Maine. Maine Humanities provides a trained facilitator, staff support, books, and coordination for 3-5 sessions.

Who can apply

Organizations or groups led by and/or serving communities traditionally under-resourced in the humanities are encouraged to apply. Groups must have a connection to Maine. Groups may only be awarded once per year. Groups must use a Maine Humanities trained facilitator; groups using their own facilitator are not eligible. Individuals are eligible if they can fulfill Point Person responsibilities.
