About this program

The Foundation provides loans (and occasionally donates works) from the John and Susan Horseman Collection to museums and institutions to broaden scholarship and public access to 20th–21st century American art, with emphasis on artists historically left out of the canon, including Black and vernacular artists.

Who can apply

Institutional borrowers that broaden scholarship of American art; the Foundation does not lend to private individuals. Borrowing institutions should provide exhibition details, catalogue plans, venue(s) and dates, and facilities report.
