About this program
Virginia Peninsula Foodbank’s partner agency network provides food resources and distribution support to nonprofit partner agencies serving people experiencing food insecurity in the Peninsula service area.
Who can apply
Organization must be an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, be affiliated with a 501(c)(3) umbrella organization, or complete the 14 Points worksheet for qualifying faith-based organizations; be incorporated to serve infants, ill, or needy people; be located within the VPF service area; distribute food within the service area; not charge for food or require services in exchange for food; not redistribute to non-partner organizations; not discriminate; not be a municipality entity; have operated an organized pantry or soup kitchen for at least 3 months; have adequate commercial food storage/preparation space; primary contact/shopper must have ServSafe Safe Food Handling for Food Banking certification; distribute at least monthly; have 2 people trained on PantryTrak for monthly electronic reporting.
