Who can apply: Must primarily serve the local community (towns of Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville). Prefer nonprofits with proven operating models and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. PCF generally will not fund organizations primarily supported by public tax revenues, organizations that only re-grift funds, activities that are not primarily charitable, or projects that are exclusively sectarian (unless funds are for a nonsectarian project benefiting a broad base). PCF funds specific projects/programs with specified objectives; preference for efforts reaching larger numbers of people. Scholarships (when provided) emphasize financial need and merit.
